Dr. Arnold Wittstein graduated summa cum laude from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. He practiced as an associate veterinarian for the next five years, before starting his own animal hospital in Pasadena, CA. From February to September, 2001, Dr. Wittstein completed a 130 hour training course and examination in veterinary acupuncture, to become a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist. He completed an additional 40 hour internship with Dr. Nancy Scanlon, one of Southern California's foremost veterinary acupuncturists. In 2004, Dr. Wittstein and his family moved to Corvallis, OR. He now practices exclusively veterinary acupuncture.

Dr. Wittstein has received the Upjohn Award for Clinical Proficiency in Small Animal Medicine, and a commendation from the Pasadena Humane Society for his contributions in helping homeless animals. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Oregon Veterinary Medical Association, the American Association of Veterinary Acupuncture, the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society, and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society.
